We start one step earlier: from the maker's own spec sheet, the published standard the product claims to meet, and the care label that determines how long it will actually last.

The site is edited by Claire Donovan, editor. Spent eight years in womenswear buying before moving to editorial research. Reads care labels for fun and returns nothing without a wear log.

What we cover

Six sections: Clothing, Shoes, Eyewear, Jewelry, Bags, and cross-category Guides. Reviews and buying guides only — we don't run deal roundups, coupon posts or sponsored listicles.

How the site makes money

Some articles contain affiliate links. If you buy something through those links, we may earn a commission from the retailer, at no extra cost to you. That is the only revenue source. Brands cannot pay for coverage, preview an article, or influence a verdict — the mechanics are described on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

Corrections

Spec changes, price moves and re-releases are normal in this category. When we get something wrong or a product's specification changes, we update the article and advance its "Updated" date. If you spot an error, write to hello@garmentnest.com.
